Students may play 1-2 pieces.

Guests: Admission by donation
Each student will receive a 20 minute time slot for their performance and comments by the clinician. Choose an appropriate length of selection(s).
Parking is available in the lot behind Allard Hall. There is less expensive parking available along 111 Street between 105 Ave & 106 Ave.
Limit of one student per ARMTA Edmonton Branch member at first.
Teachers will be notified by email if they are able to submit additional students.
Murray Vaasjo
Murray Vaasjo has been a violinist with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra for over 30 years. He is also active professionally as a chamber musician, a pit orchestra musician, and a pedagogue in Edmonton and Strathcona County. Murray is the founder and conductor of the Wye String Ensemble, an amateur string orchestra in Strathcona County celebrating their 21st year. Murray was born and raised in Edmonton and attended the University of Alberta where he received a Bachelor of Music degree. He has been a member of the Okanagan Symphony, the Victoria Symphony, the Alberta Baroque Ensemble, the Arden Ensemble, the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, and the Edmonton Youth Orchestra. Murray’s teachers include Sally Thomas in Meadowmount, New York and Shirley Givens and Sidney Humphries in Victoria. Murray enjoys all sports and has recently taken up curling. He is married to Elizabeth Koch, principal flutist with the Edmonton Symphony. Murray has lived in Sherwood Park since 1993.

Viktoria Reiswich-Dapp
Lauded for her “high-profile skills” (The Frankfurter Neue Presse), her “clarity of touch … stylistic sense… [and] breathtaking suppleness” (Pforzheimer Zeitung), Viktoria Reiswich-Dapp has been declared “an impeccable soloist” by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. Viktorias extraordinary artistry has been recognized with national and international prizes and enthusiastic praise. She has performed with orchestras and in various chamber music formations in Austria, Canada, Croatia, Germany, Israel, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Turkey, the USA, and Uzbekistan. She received her early training in the Soviet Union before at age 11 beginning her studies at the University of Music in Karlsruhe (Germany) with Sontraud Speidel (a student of Yvonne Loriod-Messiaen) and at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts with Irina Edelstein (a student of Jacob Milstein) and Joachim Volkmann (a student of Wilhelm Kempff). In Canada, she was the first and only performer to be awarded the prestigious Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship for her doctoral research with Jacques Després at the University of Alberta. Besides her performance career, Viktoria has a deep commitment to music education. She teaches piano performance, piano literature, chamber music, and piano pedagogy at the University of Alberta, and frequently shares her experiences in lectures and masterclasses, and as a festival adjudicator. She contributes to the Edmonton music community as a board member of the Anne Burrows Music Foundation and as faculty advisor for ARMTA’s collegiate chapter at the UofA.
